I know this is off-topic (except I suppose one of the questions to ask at the planning stage is "Who's carrying self-heals?") but AoR is a cracking spell. If you cast it as the fight breaks out, by the time you've cast your first couple of attack spells its energy has recharged, and you get the benefit for a whole minute. Most PvE encounters don't last that long early on. Later, it's still useful but might run out at an inconvenient moment in a long fight. It looks after DoT fairly well and random archers plinking at you become largely irrelevant. That said, in a good party, I've often not felt the need to equip it, and I'm sure it's largely useless in PvP, cos it's pointless against spike damage.
